Beatha Mukiza is a young Tanzanian Canadian artist who draws realistic and hyper-realistic pencil artwork. Beatha was a proud member of Artwalk Whyte Ave in Edmonton, Alberta for 4 years. During her time there, she had the opportunity to display and sell her work. Her works have been exhibited in Ten Thousand Village Store in Edmonton, Alberta and Vancouver Art School. Through her artistic journey, she aims to express her cultural heritage of Tanzania through her art. Art has been part of her life since childhood, serving as a gateway to my imaginary world. She has had many commissions over the years. Most of Beatha’s work has an emphasis on texture, shading, and shape. She portrays various subjects from still life to portraits to motion portraits. Her work is very illustrative with outstanding technique. She often works with mediums such as charcoal, pencil, and acrylic. Beatha has a unique style characterized by extreme hyper realism in surreal and imaginative compositions.
